EndYear 2024 Recap - Part 2

EndYear 2024 Recap - Part 2

Here we go again!! 🀯😱⛳️
This is the second part of my endyear recap. We're gonna talk about the last sections, which are hobbies, social and love life.

Disclaimer: This blog post is writen in order to help the author to be mindful in the journey of self development. Any places and names mentioned in this story might be disguised to protect their privacy.

I could say that I'm very lucky to figure it out what are my hobbies, something that makes me happy and I’m totally passionate on it. I mean some people might never discover what their passions are, and I’m sorry for them to spend their time doing nothing. Please don’t be that person, keep working on your homework because no one’s gonna help you, so you better figure out your own life.

Live your best life, keep looking for something that you truly love doing it, and don’t settle until your heart knows it when you find it.

Life is too short to do nothing, if you have no hobbies beyond watching netflix and lounge around then I’m afraid that your life is a little dry. Based on my observation most people tend to do “rebahan” as their hobbies 😫 which is red flag for me, especially when I found out that my potential partner said it, “rebahan sambil nonton drakor” 🚩 next.

Hobbies

The only way for me to stay productive outside of work is by doing my hobbies. I keep my self as productive as possible throughout the day by immerse myself in any activities that keep my sanity balanced and involved creativity such as:

  1. Workout and Weightlifting

Since I’ve found that my health levels are off the charts, it’s time to pay attention and make serious changes. I decided to shift my lifestyle by trying to be mindfull and selective with what I’m gonna consume. Since then, the way I percieved “gorengan” is totaly different, no longer tempting haha.. Moreover, I pushed myself to commit with something that increase my physical strength and improve my mental being, whice is going to the gym regulary.

For most people who has never gone to the gym before might think gym is a place full of bulky people, especially men with massive muscles, right? That’s the same thing I was thinking about, we might feel intimidate by any good-shaped body goals out there, but trust me, It’s not always. The gym is a facility designed for physical exercise and fitness activities, people go to the gym to improve their strength, endurance, and maintain overall health condition. Hence, there are a lot of benefits we can gain by going to the gym regulary depends on our personal goals. Going to the gym is not only giving me a lot of phisical advantages but also creating the sense of dicipline of myself, I need to work my ass off and put in the effor to overcome my laziness in order to have a good shape and maintain my mental health. I personally go to the gym 3 times a week and prefer to choose the most closest gym from my place because I usually go to the venue during my lunch break time, so I need to manage my time wisely, that’s why I used to pick the most closest gym from my place 🫠.

  2. Digital Drawing

It’s a long journey indeed to be a skilfull or professional artist, but I keep myself lowkey and working on it, so it can get better and better. Eventhough I do not consider my self as a good painter or a professional drawer or even skilful artist yet I’m quite good enough when it comes to draw than most people hahah. I even remember the first time I figured it out that I’m quite good at drawing. Back in elementary school, I drew a huge shark swimming in the deep sea. I was stunned by what I had done (proud to the moon πŸš€πŸ¦ˆπŸ˜Ž haha). Then I sharpen my skill until now, still learning and improving.

The memories remain vivid to this day, a reminder that even the simplest moments can hold deep meaning for someone.
  3. Free Diving

Other than that, this year is quite remarkable time for me to start my journey as a “free diver wanna be”. I committed to cultivate my new hobby in the water sport by investing in the diving equipments such as fins, glasses and snorkle. I started the training with my friends in the public pool. I initiate the practice by watching any youtube tutorial videos about safety and tips on diving and snorkling before jumping into the pool πŸ˜‚ because I don't have any professional guide or access to the instructor. It’s not a big deal for me, I can still made it! 🀌🧜‍♂️🀿

Social and Love Live

Since I work from anywhere, I have the freedom to choose my workspace anywhere I want. Last year, I spent few months in Bali as my home and office. It was an amazing experience, and I’m so grateful for it. I’ve decided to go back this year, but unfortunately, some things came up and I can’t make it happen right now. So, this year, I planned to visit Jakarta for a few months to catch up with some friends. Then, we spent the rest of our holidays in Singapore.

What a facinating holidays. We stayed for few days and explore some interesting spots in Singapore, from a majestic Jewel to famous hawker district in Maxwell, from Chinatown to Sentosa Island, and more. There was a glimpse of moment where my thought tried to reflect and said, “I should move here, no matter what, what ever it takes” haha. Their idea to plan and build the city is incredibly amazing. It’s well-planned and well-structured. I love it. From one place to another, we can rely on their public transportation. This is the one that truly amazes me, especially since I’m a big fan of public transportation.

Now, brave yourself for the most bitter of the story. 🀧
Over the past few years, I feel lucky to have met incredible women who taught me many unforgettable lessons, shared untold stories, and expressed the same feelings. I do miss our last conversation, our last jokes, our last laugh, and our last (some texts are missing)..

I have nothing to say but to express my gratitude for their sincerety for sharing the same feeling with me. As I reflect on the memories we've shared, there's something I feel I need to say,

Hey,
As I close this year, I release the past, the weight of what once was. Letting go what no longer serves my soul. With full heart of gratitude, I carry forward its lessons, leaving behind the pain. I welcome the future with an open heart. I am free to heal, to grow, and to Begin Again.

With love and peace,
Your Once and Always

πŸŒ»πŸŒ™

That’s all the whole recap for this year.
I wish nothing, but we can grow into the best versions of ourselves in the year ahead. Thank You!
